Hello guys,

does it make sense use NVDIMM (HPE Persistent memory) in 2 node hyperconverged scenario for caching?

Thanks for your thoughts, Frufru

Dear frufru,
Thanks for your interest in StarWind solution.
Actually, yes, it makes sense to use this type of memory for caching.
What is your main point of using NVDIMM? Could you, also, briefly describe the scenario where you want to implement NVDIMM to StarWind solution?
Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions.
Thanks,
Ivan

Hi Ivan,

I was interested in possible scenarios recommended by StarWind for production.

Thanks frufru

Dear frufru,
Thanks for your reply.
So, I believe you can use NVDIMM as flash (L2) cache for StarWind devices.
We would encourage you to test it as L2 cache before using it in the Production.
Please let us know about your experience.
Thanks,
Ivan
