Hello,
I am currently facing critical issues with my StarWind vSAN free license setup.
Setup Overview:
3 virtual machines acting as cluster nodes.
Network issues caused multiple server reboots.
Network issues have been resolved, but the shared storage has stopped functioning.
Symptoms Observed:
Web UI Issue:
On all 3 nodes, the Web UI displays:
Management service is starting. Please wait...
API Logs:
The following endpoints fail with timeout errors:
Log Analysis:
The Management Console logs (/var/log/starwind/starwind-san-and-nas-console/ManagementConsole.log) show repeated timeout errors for remote storage nodes:
ERROR | [RemoteStorageAppliance]: GetDtoStorageNode end with exception, nodeid 'FA830CDA-784A-11EF-BE93-452859475797', message: Request timeout error.
Additionally, nginx points /api requests to port 8100, but port 8100 is not listening on any of the nodes.
Initial Network Errors (Resolved):
Previous logs showed the following errors, but the related network issues have been resolved:
ERROR | [RemoteStorageAppliance]: GetDtoStorageNode end with exception, nodeid 'EE1783EA-784A-11EF-A1E8-31F9AB668896', message: No route to host
Disk Visibility Issue:
The shared storage disks are no longer visible, iscsi connector canot connect
I can still see the .img files in the storage directory, but I am unsure how to extract or recover the data from them.
Steps Taken So Far:
Network connectivity between all nodes has been verified and is operational.
Ports and services were checked, but port 8100 is not listening on any node.
System logs indicate issues with remote storage nodes and possible problems with the Management Service startup.
Please, how can I even access the data?
Thank you for your prompt assistance.
Best regards,
