Hi,

When looking at the CVM version with in vSAN FREE Proxmox CVM website it does not match whats listed on the StarWind release notes website for vSAN "https://www.starwindsoftware.com/release-notes-build/", where would i be able to find this information, it seems maybe this information is for the non FREE version?

That's a great question.
19551 is the VSAN version that comes inside. VSAN cannot be updated without the other components of CVM. That's why once 19551 is installed, CVM should also be up-to-date.
CVM, in turn, is not only about VSAN. That's why versioning is different: to emphasize other components.
I know it is complicated, but the rule of thumb here is to check the VSAN version. If it is the latest, CVM is the latest too.

CVM is more than just the vSAN component. It includes other elements, so the CVM's overall versioning might differ from the specific vSAN version running inside it.
Focus on VSAN Version: The key is often the vSAN version itself. StarWind states that if the vSAN version within the CVM is the latest, then the CVM is also considered up-to-date. For example, a recent forum post indicates that "19551 is the VSAN version that comes inside."
