Getting "Service Unavailable" when tring to connec

an IBVolume (target) to two different hosts.... (using StarWind 3.0)

What I am doing is creating 2 Windows 2003 Server Enteprise (WMWare) machines and enabling clustering between them. I have a third system advertising the iSCSI devices, in this case 2 IBVolumes (1 for Quorum and the other a shared drive).

The problem I am encountering is that the two systems can not mount the drives at the same time... getting "Service Unavailable" when trying to connect to the target (Using MS iSCSI init). So only one system has the devices connected and I cannot add the other system as a node to the cluster due to the fact it can not find those resources...

?

Any thoughts?

I've sent you a link to the recent StarWind RC build.

Thank you.

The new version worked!

I can share the targets between different systems now...

Thank you for the GREAT support!

Yes. Recent versions 3.2.x include it.

Already , addressed the issue by one of the friend.I struck with the Same problem.kindly somebody solve my problem .

i have downloaded starwind 5.2ver trial software from site. I am in process of creating 2 Windows 2003 Server Enteprise (WMWare) machines
and enabling clustering between them. I have a third system advertising the iSCSI devices,
in this case 2 IBVolumes (1 for Quorum and the other a shared drive).

The problem I am encountering is that the two systems can not mount the drives at the same
time... getting "Service Unavailable" when trying to connect
to the target (Using MS iSCSI init). So only one system has the devices connected and
I cannot add the other system as a node to the cluster due to the fact it can not find
those resources.

1) Dump 5.2 and replace it with 5.3 as there were some critical fixes.

2) Make sure you have "Clustered = Yes" reported in StarWind Management Console (assuming you've checked "Clusted" box during device creation).

3) Check what's writtin inside StarWind log when other node is attempting to connect. If it's something about "number of allowed initiators had reached it's maximum" then clustering mode is not enabled for some reason.

4) Let us see your StarWind log when both nodes try to connect.
