Hello,

i have created a target in Starwind (at the moment free version).
Now i want to give a initiator the permission to use the target.
When i try to add access policy, i get the error "your license does not allow to...".
Where can i present a target to an initiator?
In other iSCSI produtcs i know, you have to "present" the Target. So there is no way to connect to the wrong target with an iscsi initiator and to prevent data loss.

Is there another way in starwind?

Thank you

Regards

Marc

Normal way would be using CHAP for what you want to do. Using ACL is also possible but it's ugly hack.

Hello,

i have tried chad. When i select a target, go to chap permissions and try to add something, i get the error "The feature is not allowed by the license"
Is this not implemented in "Free edition"?

Hello,
It seems that by mistake you got a license not including chap and acl.
We will send you a new license by email.
