I know this is somewhat out of the realm of Starwind and I hope they allow some leeway...

But what is everyone's experience writing or reading from a hyper-v guest housed on a CSV? I have a 3 node cluster...iSCSI performance is great with Starwind. Atto within a hyper-v guest is great as well.

However, doing backups or file copies (SMB) to/from the hyper-v guest fall short.

I've read up on not sharing the virtual nic with the management interface, disabling RSS, etc. Just curious what others are getting. It is hard for me to test.

For the record, I can max my NICs out with iSCSI, but doing a file copy to the Hyper-V guest is only around 70MB/sec.

As solution use JumboFrames and try to disable delayedACK everywhere.
You can do it by setting KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\
TcpAckFrequency (DWORD) to 1.
