I noticed in the release notes for all versions EXCEPT v5.8 that there is a statement saying that (up to and including v5.7) it was possible to upgrade from previous versions. The release notes for 5.8 don't mention this!
So, is is possible to upgrade directly from v5.5 to v5.8 in a NON-HA environment?
Thanks!

Generally speaking you're not suposed to use anything earlier then current. So you had to upgrade to 5.6, 5.7 and now 5.8 to stay within support.
It's possible to upgrade any version to the current one. Some old ones will require license update and other will require full uninstall (instead of having service automatically stopped).

Anton,
We ARE on support already. I am not asking if we can buy the upgrade, I am asking if we can just update the existing 5.5 setup by running the 5.8 install? Do we need to do the 5.6/5.7 (updates) first?
Thanks!

I'm not selling upgrade or whatever. I've been trying to say you don't really want skipping intermediate builds as they were not released just for fun
Unfortunately 5.8 has re-worked HA so you need to go full cycle (put StarWind down, install new one, re-sync and continue the same with the second node).

Anton,
Our setup is STANDALONE, not HA. Does that still require a "sequencial" install?
Thanks!

Hello Peekay,
If your setup is standalone you will need to disconnect the client servers, install the 5.8 build and then reconnect the client servers back.
