A plea for some changes in release notes & versions:
  1. As somebody else pointed out, you can only get the release notes by installing a version. The release notes should be available on this website separately so you can check them before hand to decide whether to upgrade. You said this would change but it doesn't appear to have
  2. You use build numbers in the program about dialog and on the properties of the installation EXE (e.g. current release in 6.0.5437) but the release notes use a date instead so that it's imposible to determine what fixes where in which release. Please change the release notes to include the build number
  3. On the download page, you don't display the current version & build number so one can't easily check whether you have the latest version
Cheers, Rob.

Hello Rob,

Thanks for that. It's a shame I keep intermittently hit by the "not getting email notifications" from the Starwind forums as I'm actually subscribed to that topic but cannot recall ever getting a notification. Still, I know it's there now.

Cheers, Rob.

It works intermittently. For example, I got this notification. It seems to stop if I don't log on for a while.

Cheers, Rob.

I would also like to see the installers with version numbers as part of the name.

I always rename the downloaded starwind.exe to starwind_v6.0.5569.exe (for example) so I instantly see what version the installer is for.

Cheers.

Yup. Some spare time to spend between TechEd 2013 sessions.

PS You're welcomed to visit our booth and shake hands. Just in case.
