hello Forum,
I am trying to setup scsi disk to be used later for ms sql server failover cluster.
My environment: 1 host with vm vmware guest server 2012 where I am setting up a disk. 2nd host with 2 vm's server 2012 which are nodes of the windows cluster.
Can I use StarWind free adition for it? Which type of disk I should be creating?
As I understand, this disk will have to be acessed through scsci initiator by nodes hosts and mounted by cluster.

Thank you for your help, Gene.

You can use StarWind free here but honestly having shared storage as a single point of failure is flaky. Use 2-way mirror (HA) and you'll be fine. You'll be able to "spoof" huge amounts of RAM and flash cache to have pretty much In-Memory SQL and also you'll have cheaper and faster AlwaysOn equivalent.
