Hi Everyone,

I change the preferred fixed paths on 4 of our ESXi5.1 servers today for one of our starwind LUNS to point at the secondary starwind HA NODE today, and within 10 minutes the primary node went offline entirely, with windows reporting a bluescreen/bugcheck. Now I have all eleven LUNS doing a full sync which is going to take a long time. I have changed LUN pathing in VMWARE before several times before without having this kind of issue, but looking on the log and the timing of the crash it is far to timely to be coincidental. This is the first time I have experienced a bluescreen with starwind on one of our SANs which are identical in hardware.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? I have lodged a support ticket, and sent through the logs for review.

Thanks.

Hi!
Would you be so kind to provide us more information about your system configuration - we really need to it to get to the bottom of hte problem.
Also, is there any particular reason for you to use the Fixed MPIO instead of Round Robin, which is preferred?
Best regards,
