Hi there,

I have a mirrored/clustered storage created on a StarWind 2 node cluster attached to a vSphere 6 host using iSCSI. Even though the VMWare host iSCSI (192.168.1.3) is attached to both StarWind nodes (SW1 - 192.168.1.1 and SW2 - 192.168.1.2) when I go to inspect the iSCSI Policy Paths it only shows one connection to SW2 - 192.168.1.2 as Active I\O. There should be a second Active (non-I\O) path to the other server SW1 in case this first path fails but I do not see one. The other SAN software I have used for HA clustering would do this automatically, is there a step I am missing somewhere? JPG attached to show VMWare pathing.

Also, I cannot find a guide for setting up a 2 node StarWind HA cluster, do you have any created for Version 8? The only guides I have been able to find are these out of date ones:

I was able to get it working by connecting iSCSI only to one node, adding the datastore on the disk and then connecting to the second. I was originally connecting to both nodes and then trying to add the datastore. Just a different method than I was expecting.

Thanks,

Hi,

vSphere 6 is a pretty fresh product, therefore such behaviors are expected things. Please keep us updated.
