Hi,
can someone help me figure out how can I install/configure the software Tape Redirector on my Server Hyper-V 2019 (the core and free version) so that I can expose the LTO drive (attached via SAS to the HOST ) to my VM?
Thanks a lot in advance for any support,
Max

Thanks for the guide Yaroslav,
however do you mean it's not possible to install it on a no GUI version of Windows?
Thanks,
Max

I was not able to find any scripts among those provided with StarWindX, which means that you still need GUI to configure Tape Redirector. I will clarify this question with my colleagues.
You can request a trial license and install management console on some Windows VM or laptop.

Dear Yaroslav,
I was finally able to download and start the installation of tape redirector. On the "core" server however, without the console app which is available on a standard Windows server with GUI, I do not know how should I configure my drive.
Thanks for your support,
Max

You can install StarWind Management Console on a VM or Windows PC (Windows 7; 8; 8.1; 10 are supported) that can communicate with Windows Server Coure host. In Management Console, select Add server and type IP address of the server where StarWind VSAN was installed.
