Hello team. I'm new to this forum and I looked around and oddly enough did not see any questions or issues regarding the conversion of a Linux VM. I noticed that one of the how-to's from Starwinds indicates using the VMWare P2V converter tool for Linux, but that does not work in our case, which is why we're investigating StarWinds. Is there a Linux-specific version of the StarWinds P2V converter?

Welcome to StarWind Forum. Linux Distros cannot be P2V converted (https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... tions.html).
StarWind V2V Converter/P2V migrator is a Windows-based app. Please let me know if you would like me to file the feature request.

Hi there. StarWind does not have a native P2V converter version for Linux. You can try using Clonezilla or VMware vCenter Converter if that suits you. Hope you find the best solution!

Greetings,
Not quite. The applications you mentioned will mirror the data to another machine. You need to mirror OS and DATA disks.

StarWind V2V Converter works well with Linux virtual machines and supports various formats, including VHD, VHDX, VMDK, QCOW2. It can be used to convert Linux virtual machines on various hypervisors, such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or KVM

P2V for Linux is not available. See supported options here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... tions.html.
