Hello,

Tell me please , What is the best step-by-step way to dismantle StarWind cluster. I going to do this from scratch but previously I need to right way dismantle current configuration. I have two nodes setup. I want to down one node , get free disk space from StarWind and move VMs from second StarWind node to free space of first node and finally dismantle second SW node.

I believe you are referring to StarWind HA storage.
What you can do is:
1. stop StarWindService (starwind-virtual-san.service in Linux)
2. Remove all data from the underlying storage (e.g., data NTFS volume or /mnt/path/to/yourdata).
3. Remove headers from C:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind\headers (/opt/starwind/starwind-virtual-san/drive_c/headers).
4. Start the service on both nodes.
5. Uninstall VSAN and reinstall it.

Is it possible just switch off one node and disable/remove the iSCSI software adapter (vmhba64) there and finally remove SW VM?

What do you try to achieve through this reconfiguration?

first of all, I want to do it from scratch. two nodes without StarWind at all, but be able to move the VMs to the regular storage that is currently being used by StarWind. As I see it, I should dismantle the nodes one by one. and I want to know the best way to do that.

Thanks for your update.
1. Delete StarWind software on one side.
2. Remove devices from the underlying storage
3. Migrate VMs off StarWind HA storage.
4. Repeat for another node.
